Q. What is Give Props. Give Back.?

A. Every year around the holidays, our favorite companies and services thank their customers with coupons, gifts and holiday sales. We would like to give consumers the opportunity to return the favor, and thank the people working hard to create the services we all love. We'll bridge the gap between you and those companies, break the ice with a delicious Treat for their team, and give them your note to encourage them to keep up the great work.

Q. What is a Prop?

A. A prop is a compliment! When you give a company or service a prop, you are passing along an example of why they are great. The more specific the prop, the bigger the impact. Example: "I love Cater2.me because they give my team delicious food" is an OK prop, but "I love Cater2.me because they remembered my boss's favorite taco truck and made sure we had it for lunch on his birthday" is an EXCELLENT prop!

Q. How much is donated to Farm Aid from each prop? What if I want to donate more than $1 per share to Farm Aid?

A. Cater2.me will donate $1 per person for every prop share. When you are prompted at the end of your prop submission to 'Share The Love," simply input four friend's emails and we will automatically donate $4! Cater2.me will honor up to $5,000 in prop share funds, so the more you spread the word, the more you help Farm Aid in their quest to fight nationwide hunger! If you are moved to donate more, we encourage you to visit Farm Aid website where you can learn about additional volunteer opportunities and have the ability to make a private donation.

Q. Even though it benefits a good cause, I am not sure I want to pass along a friend's email address. Will they receive more than one invite if I do?

A. No, we do not aim to spam. When you provide a friend's email, we send them one invitation from you, along with one reminder. They are then not contacted again.

Q. What if my favorite service or company is not listed? Can I send a prop to them too?

A. Unfortunately, no. We cannot venture beyond the options listed on the website. However, the companies featured were based on initial user popularity and scope research.

Q. When will my dessert and message be delivered?

A. Delivery is currently planned for the second week of January, to pamper them right after the holidays!

Q. Can I choose the type of Treat that is delivered?

A. Treat selection is based on our preexisting vendor network so we don't allow for specifications but we do promise that whatever flavor it is will be exceptionally tasty!

Q. Why are you giving away treats?

A. At Cater2.me, we strive to connect people through food. We feed all the best companies and startups in Silicon Valley and NYC, and that requires a lot of effort. It wouldn't be possible without the great tools and services that make our job easier. We wanted to say thanks to all those great services and offer them a little treat, but realized that maybe you too would like to Give Props and share your stories. We're also really dedicated to supporting the local food vendors we work with, and we've partnered with Farm Aid to Give Back as a symbol of our support!
